 What are Monitors?

The science of collecting and analyzing EVP is very fascinating. One of the amazing facts about EVP research is that it has led many researchers to understand that there are indeed many different types of voices who come through on the recording devices. Some of these personalities appear to be monitoring or helping those on both sides connect. Lisa first heard about this phenomenon while reading Sara Estep's book "Voices of Eternity".  Sara was an expert in the field of EVP and researched this phenomenon for over 30 years. Lisa followed Sara's instructions and began to get a much better quality of EVP than before. One of Sara's suggestions was to request that a "monitor " or "technician" from the other side be present to help facilitate the sessions. From this point on Lisa began to get ten times as many quality EVP and the recorded voices were clearer and easier to hear. Often the monitor's voices can be heard coming through and giving instructions. Some examples of these helpers' voices are posted below.

There are certain qualities these voices possess that make them somewhat easy to distinguish from those voices that appear to be confined to Haunting or Bardo regions. The monitors will often sound monotone or robotic in nature. Most of the EVP recorded of the monitors are very low volume [class B or C]. Research also has proven that people working in harmony together often produced more frequent and higher quality EVP. There is also evidence that some people are able to collect EVP due to being "marked or tagged" by the monitors. Although we do not understand exactly what type of process is entailed in this "tagging" Lisa has documented EVP where the monitor said "you have been tagged". Some EVP Specialists may be labeled as "mediums" due to the fact that thier bio-energy field may be used to amplify or transmit incoming transmissions via electronic equipment as opposed to a traditional trance medium who simply allows the spirit to enter her/his body.

1. This EVP was recorded at Whitehand hall in Norman Oklahoma. The monitor says what sounds like "straight from here for Lisa".

4. In the next clip you will hear a very clear [class A] EVP of a male voice explaining why some of the voices were hateful to Lisa during an investigation at the Emporium in Guthrie, OK. He says what sounds like "tell her Adiom is rude"  [class A] If you listen very carefully there is another voice at the end who speaks at the same time and says "test for Lisa test".

 5. The next clip is interesting in that another paranormal investigator earlier in the day was telling Lisa that he could not hear any voice saying "test for Lisa test" on the previous clip. Later that evening when the CRIS group [all females] where recording a session at the old Capital Hill hospital the monitor made sure that he would be heard this time saying "TESTING"  [class A]  You may view the actual video of this event in our mini documentary on Part 2 of EVP and Alternate realities.
